A Coral Dream
in Summer's Light
A Coral Dream
in Summer's Light
At twelve, under the summer's bright,
I whisper to the waves so fair,
"We must guard these reefs, keep them in our sight."
My heart pulses with a youthful might,
Day after day, for the cause I bear.
At twelve, under the summer's bright,
Guided by the ocean, in the sun's light,
We tend to the corals with utmost care,
And I learn, "We must guard these reefs, keep them in our sight."
No creature, I think, should bear this plight,
The marine life should thrive, as the ocean's heir.
So, at twelve, under the summer's bright,
I nurture these lives, small but bright,
Spread their tale, make others aware,
"We must guard these reefs, keep them in our sight."
And I learn of resilience, of the coral's fight,
Of the power of change, when we truly dare,
That at twelve, under the summer's bright,
I say "We must guard these reefs, keep them in our sight."

The Zit
Hi, small red lump on my skin.
I scratch!
I squeeze!
I squash!
But it's just getting
Bigger,
Bigger
and BIGGER!
And also, it's also getting more
Painful,
Painful,
and PAINFUL!
Oh no!
What should I do?
Be patient.
Why?
Because my parents told me to.
So I waited and waited and waited...
On the day before May,
The lump vanished away,
And that was because
It didn't want to stay!
